Dr. Carol Pletcher, named as one of the Top 25 Champions of Innovation in the world by Business Week and former Cargill, Inc. Innovation Officer, brings real world experience and expertise to the task of using innovation as a key strategy for sustained growth.  Today she heads PLETCHER, INC. which focuses on using the INNOVATION PLAYBOOK™ and the INNOVATION BOTTLENECK™ to enhance innovation performance. She works with companies in a variety of industries (chemical, insurance, food, and agriculture) to jump start their innovation efforts. 

In her role as Cargill’s Innovation Officer, Carol led the global change effort to use innovation in a repeatable and dependable way to gain competitive advantage. She designed, developed, and deployed an enterprise-wide strategy and implementation plan which included building a global network of trained innovation champions. She also redesigned the product development process, as well as the ideation process, and implemented new methods to increase project success, track progress through assessments and measurements, and recognize contributions and achievements with formal and informal programs.
